Terms

& Conditions

.01

Agreement Overview

These terms apply to all domestic and international pet transport, documentation, and boarding services booked through Guardian Pet Carriers. A binding agreement is formed once we issue written confirmation of your booking, following acceptance of a quoted transport plan.

.02

Booking & Quotes

Quotes are prepared based on the information provided at the time of enquiry, including pet details, pickup and destination locations, and preferred travel dates. Quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated, and may be revised if the underlying details change, including pet weight, route, or regulatory requirements.

.03

Payments & Deposits

A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm most bookings, with the balance payable prior to collection unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing. Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of booking. Failure to complete payment by the agreed date may result in postponement or cancellation of the booking.

.04

Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand that travel plans can change. Cancellation and rescheduling terms vary depending on the notice provided and the type of service booked:

  • Cancellations made with more than 7 days’ notice may be eligible for a partial refund, excluding the deposit
  • Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled collection date may not be eligible for a refund, due to costs already committed on your behalf
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability and may incur an administration fee
.05

Animal Health & Fitness to Travel

Clients must disclose any known health conditions, behavioural concerns, or special care requirements relevant to their pet prior to booking. We reserve the right to decline or postpone transport, on veterinary advice or our own welfare assessment, where an animal is not considered fit to travel. Any costs arising from non-disclosure of a relevant condition may be charged to the client.

.06

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for ensuring their pet is current on required vaccinations, has a valid microchip registration where applicable, and is available for collection at the agreed time and location. Clients must also ensure all documentation requested for compliance purposes is provided accurately and promptly.

.07

Liability & Insurance

All transport is covered under our transport insurance for the duration of the journey, with full details available on request. While we take every reasonable precaution to ensure the welfare and safety of animals in our care, we do not accept liability for circumstances arising from pre-existing health conditions, undisclosed behavioural issues, or events genuinely beyond our control.

.08

Delays & Force Majeure

Transport schedules may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our control, including extreme weather, airline disruptions, regulatory changes, or other events of force majeure. In such cases, we will communicate promptly and work to minimise any impact on the welfare of the animal in our care, but cannot be held liable for delays arising from these circumstances.

.09

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or the services provided will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the relevant Australian state or territory in which the booking originated.
